Memphis Grizzlies found a win in Game 1 of their first-round series against Utah Jazz, who dominated most of the regular season only to fall in the first match of the playoffs. Grizzlies won by 112-109. Jazz was slow on Sunday as they missed nine 3-pointers and because of just one player they were close to Grizzlies, Favors who finished with 12 points, 11 rebounds, and four blocks most of which came in the third quarter itself.
He was the only shining star for the night in Jazz’s squad and hence the team was upset in the opening game of the postseason. Grizzlies took advantage of it and took an early lead to be 1-0 in the series of the first round of the playoffs. Jazz would need Favors throughout the playoffs and if he plays as he did in Game1 he has done his job well.
