Harden returns to help Nets take down Spurs

James Harden scored 18 points, 11 assists, and seven rebounds as he returned from injury after a long break and helped the Brooklyn Nets to a 128-116 win over the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday. Harden came off the bench for the first time in a long time and played for just 25:44 minutes after picking up an injury on 5 April 2021. Nets clinched their third back-to-back win and are 46-24 currently in the series after having booked their playoff seat well in advance.

They climbed closer to Bucks and the race for No.2. Kyrie Irving was sidelined this time and Landry Shamet led the Nets with 21 points, Nicolas Claxton chipped in with career-high 18 points, and Kevin Durant and Bruce Brown added 14 points each as Nets had 33 assists in total and shot 60.8 percent from the floor.
