Atlanta Hawks hosted Miami Heat for the preseason finale on Thursday. While Miami has one more match left before they close the chapter on the preseason with Boston Celtics. Heat thus choose to rest their entire rotation and Hawks on the other side were in full force, though they missed Danilo Gallinari, Lou Williams and Onyeka Okongwu. Hawks led right from the start and were 67-43 by halftime. In the first half itself Clint Capela scored a double double in his preseason debut, Trae Young went 16 points and 10 assists. De’Andre Hunter looked in good form returning from the knee injury.
It was an easy win for Hawks against the skeleton squad of Heat, Young in the end finished with 27 points and 15 assists in the 127-92 win against Miami. Hawks would now be seen in action against Dallas Mavericks at State Farm Arena for the regular season on 21st Oct.
