Heat escape with 105-98 win over Pistons

Max Strus and Tyler Herro took some time to shine but they made up for an absent Jimmy Butler, who sat out of the matchup with a hyper-extended lower leg. Miami Heat lost two of their last three games at home and was close to making that worse off at FTX Arena against the Detroit Pistons but found some balance in the later stage of the match to arrest the free fall.

Miami heat withstood a late rally by a strong-looking Pistons to win by 105-98. Detroit was playing without their  No. 1 pick Cade Cunningham but still, they managed to trouble Heat with a 19-0 rush to turn the game around while not permitting the Heat to score again in the final quarter. Still, Miami managed to flee the game with a win and increased their lead to 2.5 games at the highest point of the Eastern Conference standings.
