It seems like a unanimous choice for the Sixth man of the year award to Miami Heat’s Tyler Herro, who received 96 votes out of the possible hundred to win the award for the 2021–22 season. Herro beat out Cleveland Cavaliers Kevin Love who was second as per the final counting and Suns’ Cameron Johnson who is third in the list. The 22-year-old came off the bench 56 times in 66 matches he took part in and on average scored 20.7 points, five rebounds, and four assists.
Herro became the first Heat player to lift the Sixth Man of the year award and is the fifth player with at least 20 points off the bench playing a minimum of 50 games. Herro helped Miami clinch the number one seed in the Eastern Conference season with a 53–29 record and was the number 13 overall pick in the 2019 NBA draft.
