Rockets have had a difficult season this year where they topped off the playoff performance of 2019-2020 with the worst performance in the NBA with a 17-55 record. While a lot of factors played a role ranging from injuries, pandemic and let's not forget the James Harden’s exit. This offseason they have their work cut out for them, with players like Ben Simmons who could be on the market soon. Philadelphia 76ers were recently eliminated from the playoffs and blamed Ben Simmons’ disastrous playoff appearance for it.
Passing and playmaking skills could be a boost to Rockets even if he is not good on the offensive side, his length could be used on the defensive side too. He could serve as a versatile defender for the team. Along with that Rockets need to land a 1-4 pick in the draft lottery and also have two more first-round picks this year, gift of the Portland Trail Blazers and Milwaukee Bucks. They could leverage the first-round picks to get their hands on Simmons rather than try their luck with a rookie.
