No comeback, last-second miracle, or team of higher seeds will be able to stop the Miami Heat from competing for the NBA championship. Most Valuable Player of the Eastern Conference Finals for the second time in four years, the eighth-seeded Heat defeated Boston 103-84 in Game 7 to go to the NBA Finals. Jimmy Butler led the way with 28 points, and Caleb Martin added 26 points and 10 rebounds.
Miami bounced back from blowing a 3-0 series lead and progressed to face the Western Conference champion Nuggets a year after dropping a seventh game to the Celtics. The top-seeded Denver Nuggets have been waiting since they swept the Los Angeles Lakers on May 22. Game 1 is scheduled for Thursday night in Denver.
