Timberwolves and Karl-Anthony Towns have agreed to a $224 million supermax extension, Towns would be with the team through 2028. The Deal is set to kick in from 2024-25 season making the total contract value to be $295M for six years. Towns played a big role in Minnesota’s playoff run in 2021 which was the team’s first appearance in the postseason since 2018. Towns maintain an average of 24.6 points, 9.8 rebounds, 3.6 assists, 1.1 blocks, and a steal in 33.5 minutes.
Towns even won the 2022 Three-Point Contest, making him the best shooting big man of all time. From the field his shooting record is 52.9 percent and from the three-point range that is 41.0 percent and 82.2 percent from the free-throw line.
