Kawhi Leonard to stay with Clippers, Durant to sign 4-year contract extension

The 30-year old small forward Kawhi Leonard declined a $36 million player option for the upcoming season as he wanted to be a free agent. But it was quite obvious that Kawhi would stay with the Clippers. Along with Leonard’s contract renewal, the Clippers have seized a 2-year and $22 million deal with the legendary shooting guard Reggie Jackson. LA also had an agreement with Justise Winslow as he re-signs with a 2-year deal. The Brooklyn Nets prodigy Kevin Durant has made a 4-year contract extension for a gigantic amount of $198 million. Durant and his manager Rich Kleiman has made it official this Friday on Boardroom.

Leonard has played 52 games last season and has averaged some great numbers. He has scored 24.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and has 5.2 assists under his name per game. While the 11-time All-Star Durant did not play as many games due to Covid-19 issues. He played 35 games and averaged 26.9 points, 7.1 rebounds and 5.6 assists. It is a relief for the fans to see both these players re-signing their contracts.
