Dallas Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd took on a challenging role this year and has ever since been developing his coaching team for the 2021-22 NBA season. The newest addition to the squad is Igor Kokoskov, who was the head coach of the Turkish League’s Fenerbache. Kokoskov enjoyed a record of 20-16 in EuroLeague but later the team could not make it past the playoffs and lost to eventual champions Anadolu Efes in the finals.
He is the first non-American who would be serving as an assistant coach in NBA and adds to his two decades of NBA coaching experience. In the past he has worked for Clippers, Detroit Phoenix, Cleveland, Orlando, Utah, and Suns as well. Kidd’s coaching staff also includes Sean Sweeney, Jared Dudley, Greg St. Jean, Kristi Toliver, Darrell Armstrong, God Shammgod and Peter Patton are the final pieces.
