The New York Knicks and Los Angeles Clippers express their interest in Houston Rockets' point guard Russell Westbrook, the nine-time All-Star and two-time scoring champion, who also clinched the title of 2016-17 NBA MVP while he was with Oklahoma City Thunder. He spent a year with Houston as well in July 2019 on trade. In his 11 years at Oklahoma City, he was able to record a triple-double score from 2016-17 through 2018-19 consecutively for three seasons. The 32-year-old averaged 27.2 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 7.0 assists per game while at Rockets who reached the Western Conference Semifinals but were defeated by Lakers.
