Knicks extend their winning streak to seven games after beating Hornets

New York Knicks beat Charlotte Hornets by 109-97, in the end, to take their winning streak to seven matches. Knicks went big in the third quarter with RJ Barrett scoring 18 of his 24 points and the teams powered to add one more win to their tally on Tuesday. Hornets scared Knicks with a big first half where they scored 66 points. Knicks shifted to a defensive stance with Barrett leading the offense. Knicks later held the Hornets to just 31 points in the second half.16 more points were contributed by Julius Randle and Reggie Bullock each while for Hornets P.J. Washington scored 26 points and Terry Rozier had 21.

Off-the-bench contribution by Derrick Rose and Immanuel Quickley also helped the team to a double-digit win. With the win Knicks now move fifth on the Eastern Conference table and are on the path to maintaining their longest winning streak after the eight straight wins in March 2014.
