Lakers’ star forward LeBron James can start the discussion about a two-year contract extension with the franchise on Thursday. The offseason has brought in a number of changes to the franchise, their management team has undergone a significant change with a new head coach being brought in. The free agency period now would call for a different approach from the organization.
The player is set to make $44.5 million in his final year at the club and can discuss making $97 million in addition to the two-year extension. James would soon be 38 in December, and if he decides on an extension it would decide whether Lakers would be more aggressive in the trade talks or not! James in his 19-year-long career in NBA brings in a lot of experience to Lakes who have lost their touch after winning the 2020 championship.
