Lakers doubtful of Westbrook?

The 2008 NBA champion stated on a recent episode of ESPN's First Take that instead of fighting each other or making one leave the team; they could build a fantastic backcourt that could put a lot of pressure on competitors on the defensive end. He said that if Russ wants to have an impact on the Lakers in the upcoming season, he must bring a fresh perspective to the team.

Darvin Ham suggested that Russ should adopt a defensive mindset, which is consistent with Perk's ideas. Nevertheless, the Lakers seem prepared to make a significant trade, including Westbrook, perhaps in exchange for Myles Turner and Buddy Hield. Westbrook still presents a challenge for the Lakers, but time will tell if he can make it through the offseason and establish himself as a contributor for the upcoming year.
