Lakers force a fifth game as they snap an 11-game losing streak against Nuggets

The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the visiting Denver Nuggets 119-108 on Saturday to escape being eliminated from a first-round Western Conference playoff series. Anthony Davis scored 25 points and grabbed 23 rebounds, while LeBron James scored 30 points. Thanks to 21 points apiece from D'Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves Lakers are still alive in the playoffs. The Nuggets lead the series 3-1 going into Monday's return trip to Denver for Game 5.

Los Angeles halted an 11-game losing streak to Denver by shooting 52.2 percent from the field. Russell missed all seven of his shots from the floor in the last Game, but proved himself by going 8 of 15 overall and 4 of 8 from 3-point range in Game 4. After registering 33 points, 14 rebounds, and 14 assists in the series, Nikola Jokic achieved his second triple-double. For the first time since December 2022, the Nuggets lost to the Lakers, despite Michael Porter Jr.'s 27 points and 11 rebounds.
