Los Angeles Lakers put an end to the first half of the season with a loss to the Sacramento Kings without LeBron James to support, because of a sore ankle. Lakers did well in the first quarter and managed to secure a lead as well while Sacramento climbed back up and picked their defense apart to take the lead for themselves and have the defending champions enter the All-Star break with a loss of 123-120 on Wednesday.
Lakers are now 24-13 currently in the season and have traveled down from 1st place to end up at 4th in the Western Conference and LA Clippers, Phoenix Suns and Utah Jazz are leading at the top. Dennis Schroder though took up the charge during the match with 28 points and 9 assists. But Kings rallied in the second quarter and dropped 40 points and later continued their dominance.
