Just when Los Angeles Lakers were getting used to the idea of a healthy Anthony Davis, when the player suffered a right ankle injury and was ruled out for two weeks. The 28-year-old center went down in the first half of the Lakers win over the Utah Jazz when he landed on Rudy Gobert’s heel instead and winced in pain. The All-Star break eases things for Lakers as Davis would not miss many matches in the two-week absence.
The player would also undergo an MRI and be re-evaluated after the break. Lakers’ run-in with injury has worsened this season with many key players sidelined, and their struggle to post wins is clear with their 9th place standing in Western Conference. Davis fortunately will miss just three games for the team.
