Los Angeles Lakers resign Markieff Morris to solidify depth at the frontcourt. Los Angeles Clippers were looking to pull the player but Lakers bested them by resigning with the younger Morris brother. Some rumors suggested Markieff wished to join Clippers to rejoin with his twin brother Marcus but with Lakers he gets one more opportunity to defend the championship.
His previous stint was with Detroit Pistons before he joined the purple and gold side and there he has posted decent numbers averaging 5.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 0.6 assists spread across 14 games. His contribution to the team was impressive during last season his ability to guard from multiple positions makes him the ideal choice as he is quite versatile just what any league needs. He shot 45 percent from the field during the postseason.
