Lakers slip to 10th after losing to Pelicans

Coming back from a 10 match absence Brandon Ingram scored 26 points for New Orleans Pelicans and inspired the team to a comeback from 23 points to beat Los Angeles Lakers 116-108 at the Smoothie King Center. The results would affect the standings of both the team, Lakers have slipped to the 10th position on the Western Conference table while the Pelicans get a good boost and now lead by half a game ahead of the Lakers in the ninth seed.

Rookies Trey Murphy III and Herb Jones contributed well to the points table helping the Pelicans win the match. LeBron James’ 39 point effort which included seven 3-pointers was wasted away as Lakers could not hold onto their lead and the Pelicans stormed their way back into the game with a third-quarter rally.
