Russell Westbrook and LeBron James made their preseason debut against Golden State Warriors but the stars failed to make a mark on Friday. For Westbrook, it was his first game in the golden and purple uniform but the buildup of ‘360’ did not work in their favor as LeBron also looked out of form on their debut. Lakers lost 121-114 to Warriors with Westbrook just playing the first half and contributing just 2 points in 17 minutes.
LeBron James on the other hand adjusted to the weight of the new number (No.6) and put on a similar show with 9 points on 4-12 shooting in 18 minutes. In the end, though we saw the former champion spirit as they fought back from a 22-point deficit in the last quarter with the help of a different big three- Dwight Howard, Rajon Rondo, and Austin Reaves but they could not push for a win with Anthony Davis rested.
