Isaiah Thomas recently leveled with Kobe Bryant’s career-best, a single-game score that he had set in 2006. And just days after that Lakers have expressed interest in signing another free agent. Coincidence? It would be a reunion Thomas would be hoping for, in 2017-2018 he played 17 games for Lakers and last season the former All-Star guard appeared in just three games for Pelicans and averaged 7.7 points per game and battled with a hip injury most of the time.
Lakers’ backcourt has undergone a significant change, they have brought in Russell Westbrook traded Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, they let go of Alex Caruso and added Malik Monk, Kent Bazemore, Wayne Ellington, and Kendrick Nunn as well as Talen Horton-Tucker. In the past Thomas had put up big numbers on the board, the main question is can he do that again?
