Los Angeles Lakers offer D.J. Augustin a deal

Los Angeles Lakers have decided to clean house after removing Sekou Doumbouya on Tuesday right before their match with Dallas, they add another name to the waived list, center DeAndre Jordan. The 14-year veteran joined the Lakers in September but was benched soon after that making an appearance in just five matches. For Lakers, he has so far averaged 4.1 points and 5.4 rebounds per game and could not fit in the offense side or the defense side.

Lakers thus decided to drop Jordan from the lineup and sign veteran point guard D.J. Augustin and forward Wenyen Gabriel instead. Augustin was part of Houston’s lineup before they waived him on Feb. 11. He appeared in 34 matches for the Rockets and averaged 5.4 points and 2.2 assists per game. As for Gabriel, he would be playing for his third franchise this season after the Clippers and the Brooklyn Nets.
