Luka Doncic comments on Mavericks firing Nico Harrison

Lakers' Luka Dončić addressed the firing of Mavericks GM Nico Harrison, stating that Dallas will always hold a special place in his heart: "The city of Dallas, the fans, the players, they always have a special place in my heart."  

However, Dončić made it clear that his current focus is with his new team. "But right now I am focused on the Lakers, trying to move on," he stated. When asked about a potential return to the Mavericks, he declined to comment further, saying, "Right now, I'm just focused on the Lakers. No further comments."

The Mavericks have had a difficult start to the season. Team governor Patrick Dumont confirmed the decision, stating it reflects a "continued commitment to building a championship-caliber organization." Former majority owner Mark Cuban, who still owns a 27 percent stake in the team, was reportedly frustrated with Harrison and advocated for his removal.
