McClung was signed to a two-way deal by the Philadelphia 76ers earlier in the week and topped Saturday's Slam Dunk Contest at NBA All-Star Weekend with a nearly flawless effort. McClung had only played in two NBA games during previous stints with the Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls. McClung started the competition with a string of 50s. He received a 49.8 on his second dunk, a two-handed, 360-degree helicopter move. He could have opened with two straight flawless scores, but Lisa Leslie was the sole judge to stop her.
He once again stole the ball from someone holding it over their head to start the final round, but this time it was only one guy. He then double-pumped loudly before completing the slam with a two-handed reversal. He received another fifty.
