Mavericks outlast Trail Blazers in 138-133 overtime classic

In a thrilling overtime contest, the Dallas Mavericks secured a 138-133 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers, snapping a three-game losing streak. P.J. Washington Jr. and Cooper Flagg led the Mavericks with 21 points each, while Daniel Gafford was crucial in the final minutes.

The game's turning point came with 1:39 left in overtime. Deni Avdija fouled out, allowing Gafford to hit two free throws that put Dallas ahead 130-129 for good. Shortly after, a key defensive rebound from Flagg led to a Washington dunk, sparking a 6-0 run that sealed the win. Gafford finished with 20 points, including seven in overtime.

For the Trail Blazers, Shaedon Sharpe scored a season-high 36 points, and Avdija added 29 before fouling out. Jerami Grant contributed 26 points in his first start of the season, filling in for the injured Jrue Holiday. The loss marked Portland's fourth in their last five games.
