Memphis Grizzlies have entered the playoffs by taking down the Golden state warriors in the playin stage with the help of big numbers by Ja Morant. The 21-year-old dropped 35 points, 6 assists in the 117-112 Overtime win by the Warriors. Grizzlies then locked in the eighth and final seed of the Western Conference playoffs and beat the two-time MVP Stephen Curry and his team to do so.
Grizzlies held on to their 110-109 lead in overtime and Morant exploded with two straight running 10-foot floaters, and dopped points even with 4.5 seconds left that sealed their win. Morant scored 15 points in the last quarter and overtime. Memphis is returning to the playoffs for the first time in four seasons and would take on Utah Jazz in the Western Conference quarterfinals. Earlier when the teams clashed Warriors had beaten the Grizzlies to earn the eighth seed before the play-in stage.
