The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Suns 114-113 on Wednesday, extending the Suns' losing streak to four games. Ja Morant finished with 28 points, making the game-winning shot with 7.6 seconds left.
The Grizzlies, who have alternated wins and losses in their first five games this season, received 18 points from Jaren Jackson Jr. and 14 points each from Cedric Coward and Santi Aldama, who came off the bench. Caldwell-Pope, Kentavious, contributed eleven points. Mark Williams had 20 points and 11 rebounds in his first start for the Suns, who haven't won since opening night, and Devin Booker scored 29 of his 32 points in the second half. Williams stole the ball from Jackson on defence and made a layup with 51.4 seconds left to give the Suns a 113–112 lead. However, neither side scored again until Morant's 11-footer in the lane.
