The Heat needed to win badly after losing by 14 points to the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night. With 5:12 remaining, the Pistons led 96-92, but a 20-4 Heat run, which was highlighted by eight vital points from Tyler Herro and a turnaround jumper from Jimmy Butler, gave Miami a much-needed victory. Herro scored 19 points overall, including 12 in the fourth quarter, on 7 of 17 shooting, including 3-of-9 from outside the arc. He also grabbed six boards and dished out four assists. Butler made eight of his 11 field goal tries for a game-high 26 points and 10 assists. His tenth double-double of the year was achieved.
Bam Adebayo added 22 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists for a double-double of his own. He made 7 out of 12 shots from the floor. Caleb Martin, who came off the bench, had a significant 13 points.
