With a victory over Miami, Sixers could have wrapped up the No.1 seeding in the Eastern conference, but it was the Miami Heat who emerged victorious. Miami heat restricted MVP candidate Joel Embiid to score big against them. Joel managed only six points on three-for-9 shooting in 25 minutes on court.
Ben Simmons was also restricted to a single digit (8 points, one rebound, and six assists), as Tobias Harris top-scored for the 76ers with 21 points. Miami heat held on to the No.5 spot in the Eastern Conference, as Jimmy Butler scored 21 points and Bam Adebayo had 18 points & 12 rebounds. "Nobody intimidates us," Butler said.
76ers go home for their final 2 games of the regular season, both against Orlando, one Friday and one Sunday. If Philadelphia wins either of those, they will be crowned No.1 seed in the Eastern Conference for the first time since 2001.
