According to the report, former Sacramento Kings coach Mike Brown and Memphis Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins are scheduled to speak with the Knicks. The Knicks have been denied access to current NBA head coaches, and their clubs have rejected their attempts to speak with them. Quin Snyder (Atlanta Hawks), Chris Finch (Minnesota Timberwolves), Ime Udoka (Houston Rockets), and Jason Kidd (Dallas Mavericks) are on the list.
After the Knicks lost to the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference finals, their first trip to that round in 25 years, Thibodeau was dismissed by the franchise last week. After 31 games in his third season in Sacramento, where he finished with a 107-88 overall record, the 55-year-old Brown was dismissed. He has a 454-304 regular season record and was the head coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers from 2005–10, 2013–14, and the Los Angeles Lakers from 2011–12. With nine games remaining in the regular season and a 44-29 record, the Grizzlies dismissed Jenkins, 40, in March.
