Milwaukee Bucks edged the short-handed New Orleans Pelicans 111-107

Gary Trent Jr. dropped a season-high 29 points as the Milwaukee Bucks edged the short-handed New Orleans Pelicans 111-107 on Sunday night, strengthening their grip on fifth place in the Eastern Conference. The Bucks (44-34) rested Giannis Antetokounmpo after his massive triple-double performance in Miami on Saturday, but still secured their fourth straight win, pulling a full game ahead of idle Detroit (43-35).

Brook Lopez added 20 points and 12 rebounds, while Kevin Porter Jr., stepping into the starting lineup, contributed 20 points. Ryan Rollins also impressed with 14 points and 10 assists. New Orleans, missing four starters, leaned on its young core. Rookie Antonio Reeves led the way with 23 points, and Yves Missi posted 18 points and 12 rebounds. Lester Quinones added 17 in just his ninth NBA appearance this season, but the Pelicans ultimately suffered their third consecutive loss.
