Nate McMillan might join Atlanta Hawks

Former head coach of Indiana Pacers Nate McMillan might be joining hands with Atlanta Hawks to work as an assistant on Lloyd Pierce's staff. Indiana’s failure to qualify for the first round of the playoffs resulted in Pacers firing McMillan in August. While at Pacers he helped them go 183-136 as well as the 56-year-old helped coach the likes of Myles Turner and Domantas Sabonis. To replace him Pacers hired Toronto Raptors assistant Nate Bjorkgren in Oct. McMillan is a veteran NBA player with a 12-year long stint at Seattle SuperSonics back in1986-98, where he helped his team get two NBA All-Defensive second-team honors. As a coach, he has worked under Paul Westphal in Seattle, US’s men's national team’s Mike Krzyzewski, and Frank Vogel who led Pacers before becoming Los Angeles Lakers’ coach.
