NBA declares 1-year suspension, $10 million fine for Robert Sarver

The NBA has declared a one-year suspension and $10 million fine for Phoenix Suns/Mercury proprietor Robert Sarver. Back in November 2021, allegations of racism and sexist behavior from the Phoenix Suns and Phoenix Mercury team owner Robert Sarver came into limelight. Seemingly, these accusations started coming back to the surface in 2016 after a game between the Suns and Golden State Warriors, but this wasn’t when Sarver showed his racist and misogynist behavior.

Over 300 people were interviewed and 800,000-plus documents were obtained to verify this horrific information, which involved over 70 current and former Suns employees. It has been said and noticed that such behavior dates all the way back to 2004. Sarver has been the team owner for 18 years, so there was volumes of information to  collect during this investigation, which brought out the verdict finally.
