NBA: Grizzlies defeated Clippers 123-108

Despite the absence of their key player Ja Morant due to injury, the Memphis Grizzlies defeated the Los Angeles Clippers (108-123) on Saturday to win their eighth straight game in a contest that included a Spanish duel between Santi Aldama and Serge Ibaka. In 20 minutes with the Grizzlies, Aldama had 7 points (3 of 5 shooting), a rebound, and a block, whereas Ibaka had a bad afternoon (he went without scoring after missing his two shots) and collected 2 rebounds for the Clippers.

The Grizzlies have gone from being the NBA's sensation as a revelation team to starting to emerge as a frightening squad for the "playoffs" as the regular season nears its conclusion. Aside from Morant, who is unquestionably one of the most dynamic players on the court right now, the Memphis Grizzlies have also suffered significant losses in the form of Kyle Anderson and Steven Adams.
