Nets beat 76ers despite being without key players

Nets had to once more rely on Kevin Durant to lead the team with another triumphant night by defeating the Philadelphia 76ers 114-105 on Thursday. Brooklyn Nets overcame the loss of seven players to coronavirus health and safety protocols, with Durant’s 34 points,11 rebounds, and eight assists and Blake Griffin and Nic Claxton reaching new heights with their season-high contribution of 17 points. Patty Mills also chipped in with 14 points while Brooklyn continued dominating the Eastern Conference table.

This was Nets fourth consecutive win and 76ers’ third straight loss despite having Joel Embiid on their side and his Durant-like performance with 32 points, nine rebounds, and six assists. Brooklyn might be without James Harden, LaMarcus Aldridge, and DeAndre’ Bembry for a while as this was their second straight game without these starters.
