Nuggets lead 3-2 against Portland, need just one more win to advance

Denver Nuggets will push to close the series early in the next match after winning Game 5 against  Portland Trail Blazers by beating them 147-140 with Nikola Jokic posting 38 points in the Denver Nuggets’ return after losing the last matchup. Damian Lillard’s 55 big ones could not help Portland to a win. Nuggets were third in the Western Conference while the Blazers were sixth in the Western Conference.

Nuggets now lead the series by 3-2. Trail Blazer’s top performer in the last 10 matches is Lillard, who is averaging 28.8 points and 7.5 assists and for Nuggets Jokic has scored an average of 29.3 points and 10.5 rebounds, shooting 53.6% in the last 10 matches. Blazers are without Zack Collins for the rest of the season while the Nuggets were without PJ Dozier, Jamal Murray, and Will Barton.
