Denver Nuggets started well but could not match the shooting by Portland Trail Blazers in the 123-109 loss. Dropping the first game itself is a bad sign but the Nuggets now need to fix things before heading into the playoffs Game 2. Nikola Jokić was great tonight and would have to perform in the upcoming match as well he scored 34 points with 16 rebounds on 14-of-27 shooting from the field. He failed to add more points after halftime and after scoring 22 points in the first half.
Without Jokic’s offensive shooting Nuggets also didn't look all that sharp. Damian Lillard is also going to press for possession it would be foolish to think he won’t, he added 34 points and 13 assists and was the best player on the floor. Michael Porter Jr. did well as well with 25 points on 21 shooting possession and when 11-of-11 from two-point range, but 1-of-10 from three-point.
