Payton Pritchard, a guard with the Boston Celtics, reportedly wants to be dealt this summer, according to a June 2 article by Jay King of The Athletic. It's difficult to blame him, to be honest, given his limited position in the rotation this past year despite putting out great performance when given the chance throughout his time with the organisation.
However, while it may be the guard's desire to leave Boston in search of better opportunities, an unnamed Eastern Conference general manager provided a reality check when speaking with NBA insider Sean Deveney of Heavy Sports, pointing out that while Pritchard wants out of Beantown, Brad Stevens and company may not comply. The general manager informed Sean Deveney that there are two clubs in particular that might wind up approaching the Celtics about the idea of dealing for players like Payton Pritchard.
