Pelicans narrowly go beyond the Clippers to find a spot in the final playoff see

With Brandon Ingram scoring 30 points the New Orleans Pelicans went ahead to defeat Los Angeles Clippers 105-101 in a play-in on Friday night. This win helped them earn the West's No. 8 seed for the playoffs. The Pelicans entered the playoff for the first time back in 2017-18, led by their first-year coach Willie Green, who is now a former Clipper.

Also, they have been playing without Zion Williamson during the entire season due to a foot injury. The Clippers had to face a big blow earlier in the day when Paul George went into the league's health and safety protocols. CJ McCollum scored 19 points for New Orleans, which will play No. 1 seed Phoenix in their first round. Last year, for the first time in franchise history, the Clippers had made it to the Western Conference finals.
