Pelicans would be without Zion Williamson for a while

New Orleans Pelicans star forward Zion Williamson would miss the first few games for the team as he has injured his right foot and would have to undergo surgery. David Griffin, the Pelicans' vice president of basketball operations, shared there isn't a fixed timeline for the stars’ return. The franchise still awaits doctors orders who would have a clear picture after a few more scans.

Williamson injured his foot before the NBA Summer League, but it would be a while when he joins the rest of the Pelican’s roster for the 2021-22 NBA season. Last season Williamson averaged 27 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 3.7 assists over 61 games for the Pelicans, who finished 11 on the table last season.
