Visiting New York after the Los Angeles Sweep, Brooklyn Nets were in great form but facing a more focused and determined Joel Embiid and Philadelphia 76ers they failed to keep their winning streak alive and lost by 110-102. Embiid managed to easily get past Nets defense and scored 34 points while Tyrese Maxey and Seth Curry supported with their 25 and 17 point individual contribution while Doc Rivers remained sidelined due to COVID and the team was led by assistant Dan Burke.
Nets did welcome back Kevin Durant after a three-game absence to respond with 33 points but the Eastern Conference leaders fell for the second time in eight matches. Even James Harden finished the match with 33 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists but the team was still overpowered.
