Philadelphia 76ers might trade Joel Embiid

Sixers are hiring Daryl Morey for the role of President of Basketball Operations where he would work with GM Elton Brand. The new hires will bring with them certain personnel changes that involve Joel Embiid. Morey’s last gig was with Rockets where he handled all the personnel decisions driven by analytics and he prefers small athletic players over big men which favors Ben Simmons but Joel Embiid, on the other hand, is in perils. But letting go of one of the top-10 players in the NBA might be tough when all the other leagues would line up at the chance to have him. He is a generational talent and would benefit greatly if Doc Rivers and Daryl Morey could work on a different strategy as they prepare Sixers for the upcoming NBA Championship.
