Detroit Pistons had an upper hand during the Monday match over the Miami Heat but Heat made a comeback later to grab the lead and run away with it. They closed the first quarter with a 12 point lead but Detroit failed to maintain their lead and Bam Adebayo forced the match in Heat’s favor after scoring 28 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists to end the night at 113-107.
Jerami Grant added 27 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds, and a block for Pistons but could not carry them towards a win, while Wayne Ellington added 24 points, and Derrick Rose scored 21 points and four assists. Detriot hit their season-high first-quarter number 36 points despite having slow start in previous matches but Miami came out on top in the third quarter with 79-52 with Pistons shooting 23-for-59 overall and 8-for-27 from the 3-point line, respectively.
