Raptors beat Grizzlies, 126-113

Gary Trent Jr. scored 17 of his 26 points in the final quarter and the Toronto Raptors energized later to beat the Memphis Grizzlies 126-113. Fred VanVleet scored 23 points, and 17 points were added by Precious Achiuwa, Pascal Siakam, and Scottie Barnes each for the Raptors. Ja Morant drove Memphis forwards with 23 points and nine assists.

Toronto utilized a second from last quarter surge to get back into the game riding on Achiuwa’s shots, Achiuwa scored 17 points in the edge as Toronto outscored Memphis 32-21 in the quarter. That sliced the Memphis benefit to 92-91 entering the fourth. Then it was Trent’s time to shine, hitting five of his eight shots in the fourth, including every one of the three 3-pointers as the Raptors pulled away toward the end.
