Toronto Raptors Fred VanVleet scored 26 points for the team in the 119-104 win against San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night. A win for Spurs would have been a historic event for Gregg Popovich who would have become the coach with the most wins in NBA history, for now, that title is now away from his grasp as he stays tied with Don Nelson, with 1,335 regular-season victories. Spurs would once again go for the record for their 73-year-old coach at home when they would take on Utah next.
VanVleet rejoined the team after five-game hiatus with knee soreness and Scottie Barnes and Pascal Siakam also played their part as Toronto snapped their three-match losing streak. At the end of the match, Raptors had five players in double figures as they pushed for a win.
