The Houston Rockets and Utah Jazz each shot well over 50 percent from the field on Wednesday night, demonstrating that defence has been a luxury in the team's first two preseason games. The home team won 140-127, though, as the Rockets maintained their supremacy on the offensive boards with 19 and made 16 more free throws than the Jazz.
Kevin Durant made his preseason debut for the Rockets and as expected he was awesome. KD dropped in 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting from the field, including 1-for-2 from three-point range, and was a perfect 5-of-5 from the free-throw line. Alperen Sengun scored 13 points to match his 13 assists, to go along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals in 27 minutes played. Jabari Smith Jr. and Amen Thompson scored 18 and 19 points respectively. Amen Thompson added six assists with only one turnover as well.
