Terry Rozier recovering from an ankle injury did not show any signs of slowing down during the match, posted 26 points matching Gordon Hayward’s 25 points to help Charlotte Hornets take down Washington Wizards 119-97. Replacing an injured Devonte Graham,
Rozier was asked to play the point guard against Washington and the versatility worked hard to deliver. Bradley Beal led Washington by scoring 31 points on 11-for-22 shooting, while Russell Westbrook added 12 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists but failed to post his sixth triple-double of the season.
Hornets enjoyed a 69-52 halftime lead and increased it further to 29 before entering the fourth quarter with a splendid performance by Rozier and Hayward in the second half. P.J. Washington returned as well after a two game absence due to injury but added just three points with 1-of-7 shooting.
