Russell set to leave Memphis as Heat and Hornets circle

D’Angelo Russell appears headed out of Memphis before the start of the 2026‑27 season. According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the 30‑year‑old guard is not expected to be part of the Grizzlies’ roster after being acquired on July 7 in a six‑team trade that sent Santi Aldama to Dallas.
