Coach Gregg Popovich and his San Antonio Spurs squad tried to keep the game close to their chest for the better part of three quarters Thursday night, but then the Sacramento Kings determined it was time to assert the real power and won their fifth consecutive game this season. Davion Mitchell’s defence and Sacramento’s exploding fire aided the Kings in pulling yet another victory, this time defeating the Spurs 130-112 in front of an audience of 16,522 at Golden 1 Center.
De’Aaron Fox bagged 28 points on 11-of-15 shooting with eight assists and zero turnovers for the Kings (8-6), who have emerged victorious five times in a row and eight of their last 10.
