San Antonio Spurs enjoyed a good lead over Portland Trail Blazers before entering the fourth quarter with Dejounte Murray’s 28 point performance in the first three quarters. Murray was rested in the final quarter as Spurs overpowered Blazers by 133-96 on Wednesday night.
Spurs keep their hopes of play-in stage alive, winning their third game of the last five encounters. Keldon Johnson scored 26 points for the 11th placed team in the Western Conference and they close in the gap to New Orleans to 11/2 games. The undermanned team of Blazers missed two of their starters Damian Lillard and Jusuf Nurkic and did not pose a threat to Spurs who stayed ahead most of the match.
